Determining your size for the corset kits is easy!

The corset kits have been based on a Waist Cincher Corset block which means that few measurements are required. They also include 1" seam allowance so there is room to alter the kits to fit.

So all you really need is your waist measurement! AND then you have to do some MATH...but not much.

Measuring the waist is the hard part for some women because they're not sure where their waist is! And this is not because of extra weight - it's because they assume their waist is where their jeans have been resting BUT it's not there ladies!

To start with:

Your waist is above your navel!

Your waist is below your lowest rib.

How much above your navel and how much below your ribs varies depending on how long your body is.

Stand in front of a mirror - facing it, it's best to be in your underwear for this. Look at your middle section, do you notice any natural indentation? This is likely where your waist is. Take a lenght of elastic and wrap it around your middle, safety pin it or tie it so that it is snug but not tight, make sure it is above your navel and below your ribs. Take a measuring tape and measure in inches the location on your body where the elastic rests.

NOW FOR THE MATH....

Subtract 4" from the measurement.

Example: You measure your waist and it's 33 inches

33-4=29

Your size would be 29

BUT

Corset Kits come in even sizes only.

So

you can choose a

28 or a 30

Ginger suggests going with the size 30

Because you can always take it in more.

The kits do not get longer with every size. Several sizes are the same length, increasing only in circumference.
